The short version
Plain & Frugal does not currently sell products, operate reader accounts or publish advertising. Google Analytics is available only after a visitor gives permission through the privacy panel. The hosting platform may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the website.
Information that may be processed
When you request a page, technical records may include an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, date and time, and security or error information. These records may be processed by the hosting provider to deliver, protect, and maintain the site.
If you email the editor, the publication receives the address, message, and any information you choose to include. It is used to answer the message, handle a correction or privacy request, and maintain necessary records. Do not email sensitive personal information.
Google Analytics
If a visitor accepts analytics, Google Analytics processes information about page views, engagement, scrolling, outbound clicks, device type, and approximate location. Plain & Frugal uses aggregated reports to understand which guides and tools are useful. Analytics is not loaded before consent, and advertising personalization signals are disabled in the site configuration.
Google may process this information under its Ads Data Processing Terms. Visitors can change their selection using the site’s “Privacy choices” button.
Google advertising
Plain & Frugal may apply to Google AdSense. If Google advertising is activated, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads, including based on visits to this and other websites.
Visitors can control personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. Where consent is required, advertising technologies that require consent will not be activated until the required choice has been obtained through a suitable consent platform.
Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small files placed on a device. Similar browser storage may remember a preference. The Use-It-Up Pantry Planner stores the food names, dates, quantities, locations, estimated values, and completion totals that a visitor enters in that visitor’s own browser. Plain & Frugal does not receive that planner data. A visitor can remove it with the planner’s reset control or by clearing browser storage. Sharing and retention
Technical information may be processed by service providers only as needed to host, secure, and operate the site. Plain & Frugal does not sell reader contact information. Email correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, correction, legal obligation, or security purpose involved.
Your privacy choices

Changes to this policy
This page will be revised when the site begins using advertising, advertising, email subscriptions, forms, affiliate tracking, or other services that change how visitor information is processed. The date at the top will change when a material update is published.
